"Found the source of the dull metallic noise I was hearing. Turns out 3 of the 6 ball bearings are ready to be replaced. Thankfully they're standard size so I ordered high quality replacements at a local hardware store." - Chris K

The BBSHD still has a nylon gear, but the new G510 motor has all gears metal
