Fashion 10 inch wheel frame . From 2 stroke to a 4-stroke. The motor is a long case GY6 with a 10 inch rear wheel

From 2 stroke to a 4 stroke.  Engine Mount are off a different bike

More info on the progress of Bobs build follows:

"The Geely . The dead 2 stoke has gone to the can factory and now I'm building a lowered GY6 50 / BBK drag strip bike , that will perhaps not be as fast as 2 stroke but it will last longer than 1 race !  Truth is , I'll never dray race it anyway , It's just to make me look taller !- Bob Bamforth

"The only modification needed was a short side stand and a different  swing engine mount of another bike . It all just bolted in nice and straight . To easy ! On these 2 stroke " Geely " bikes the oil tank sits in the seat bucket . I can either take it out and have more room or wash it out and use it as beer container ?" - Bob Bamforth

"It's a 10 inch wheel frame . The motor is a long case GY6 with a 10 inch rear wheel and the front is the stock 10 inch drum brake wheel . I can't fit a main stand and the side stand and lower engine mount are off a different bike . The whole lot fitted in with no modifications , Just bolt up and away . easy ! I'm not sure yet if the muffler will scrape on the road around corners ?" - Bob Bamforth

Electric kick scooter with 4 persons

4 persons on Xiami Pro or 365?

It makes you wonder, bad parenting? No parents onboard, parents home sleeping? Pretty dangerous trusting all that weight on that thing.

Bad judgement if you ask me. If they are parents I'm sorry for the kids.

Cleaning pilot jet or small channels in carburetor - Gör rent munstycke i förgasare, tips

"Top tip for cleaning out jets and airways. Use a squirt or so of lemon juice in a vessel with boiling water, citric acid will eat and clean the crud without damaging the metals.

I’ve used this for years with great results." - Andrew Fairhurst, SYM FIDDLE Owners Club

Going from 6pin CDI to 5pin CDI,

It sometimes can be hard to find 6pin CDI for Baotian 4-stroke Scooters. 5pin variants are common though so I made a conversion cable.

------------------ Good to know, according to Aidix (2010) -------------

If you block has an engine block code 139QMA or 139QMB.

"Not every scooter with such a block has the same CDI. That depends on the manufacturer, there are 4 or 5 different types of CDI's for Chinese scooters, which are not interchangeable and look the same. The Spnk/rick18 indicated is therefore the wrong one, and the text that says "fits all scooters with gy6 block" is of course wrong.
Just as wrong as saying that the same cdi fits on all european 2t scooters.

Rex is a sticker brand, the real brand is Qingqi. (Same factory as Peugeot)" - Aidix, https://scooterforum.net/threads/sport-cdi.191414/#post-3238140

About Sym - Sanyang

Some history of Sym - Sanyang company

SYM has been producing two-wheelers for over 65 years now. They have a pretty good reputation, not like Honda but better rumour than most of the Chinese ones. However Honda / Yamaha parts are more expensive.

As far as I understand the Sym Fiddle 2 is produced in Xiamen Xiashing Motorcycle, China, so not manufactured in Taiwan.

With more than 1,000,000 vehicles produced, the Taiwanese group is now one of the major manufacturers in the two-wheeler industry. With the certification according to the strict criteria ISO 9001 and ISO 9002, SYM is committed to consistently high quality standards.

The development center ensures constant further development and renewal of the model range. As a buyer, you can choose from a variety of models between 50cm³ and 600cm³ cubic capacity, where the price-performance ratio is pretty good.

Sym was founded in 1947 as Ching Feng Hang, an import company of BSA motorcycles. It wasn’t until 1954 that the name Sanyang was first mentioned. Sanyang Electrics.

Sanyang Electrics was soon to be restructured into Sanyang Industrial Co. Ltd. Year 1961.

In 1962 Sym formed a joint venture with Honda begin local assembly of motorcycles. This made them the first motorcycle manufacturer in Taiwan.

The “monkey bike”, the Honda CB125/150 has been made by Sym since the early 1970’s.

Year 1969, Sym started assembling Honda microcars such as the Honda TN360 and the Honda N600. These cars became very popular in their day. It was this 32 year long cooperation with Honda which helped Sym gain the knowledge and instilled Sym’s thirst for perfection and quality.

They say they have a high quality standard.

Older PGO BIG MAX 50 engine converted to GY6 150cc, rear original rim do not fit

GY6 150cc into 50cc Frame?

Richard M. A. Corp converting his PGO Big Max scooter. Trying to get a short case GY6 150cc into the frame. PGO rims / wheels does not fit though:

"I have an old PGO Big Max 50 with a bad motor. I bought a Gy6 150, but the hub of the rear rim will not fit over the brakes that the new motor came with. I don’t know if the spline fits or not, I think it does. I need to buy a new wheel before I can mount the motor.

The tire on the bike is 120/90-10, he believes it to be a 10 x 2.5" wheel."

Suggestion: Might wanna try get a GY6 short case rim because short case uses 49cc brake pads (source Internet, Jason H.).

Putting a 150cc GY6 into PGO BIG MAX 50cc frame.
Putting a 150cc GY6 into PGO BIG MAX 50cc frame.
Looks like 5 inch something?

Good to know: 50, 125, 150 all have different brake sizes
Engine seems to fit the frame at least.

Hope to see Richard succeed with his build. Good luck. Let us know how it works out!

GY6 Bench Test Harness

 Bench Test Harness for GY6

Keeping Throttle and starter switch butten on a loose steering might be the easist way if you want to have controll over the carburetor.

Does not look too hard. Check out Sue Carman's video

Splice the Black/White Kill Switch Wire from the 2 Pin Wire to Blue/White Trigger Wire. (In most Motor Cycles/Mopeds/Scooters Grounding a Coil will instantly kill the motor. This one way Kill Switches work).
Connect the other End of the Kill Switch to the Ground Strap.

Another way of mounting Tongsheng TSDZ2

 Motor mount with rivet nut

"Inspired by one of the members I did a wee anti-twist mod today. Added 10mm rivnut, turned motor all the way towards front of the frame so it rests on 2mm rubber pad I double-taped there and secured with the bolt which was used for the original anti-twist bracket.

If it is going to move now, it is going to rip that rivnut off from the body, but since most of the twisting force will be absorbed by the frame where the motor leans againts the rubber pad I think it is going to be rock solid.

Made a mark to see if the big nut will move too at all. As a "side effect" I have plenty space to attach a kick stand now 😃

Btw, used a spacer from old wheel axle." - Vi Ad

Different Motor Mount Tongsheng TSDZ2 with rivet nut in frame
What do you think of this motor mount?
What about frame structure?

It's a steel frame. When the bolt is screwed into rivnut it basically fills the hole and props it up too, reinforces it. Should be pretty okay.

Why didn't he just use the original anti rotation bracket that came with the motor?

"I did go for my first ride yesterday and it went undone, partially because I had a spacer there to be able to pass derailleur cable under the bottom bracket. I did reroute it with full length housing today. Still, it would be tricky to fit a stand. It is perfect now." - Vi Ad

Looks a bit weird but I guess he couldnt make his stand work otherwise.

Super Soco Cux vs Niu alternatives

Kostar runt 37 - 38 tusen kronor.

--------------------

M3:

Komfortabel, även vid lägre sträckor

Stark motor, snabb acceleration

Broms bak:/fram: Skivbroms

Fordonsvikt: 78 kilo

Batterivikt: 12 kilo

================  ==========

2018 M 1200W --> Later became M+ 2 seater version   --> NQI + sport

N1S 1500W   --> NQI Sport

NGT 3kW -->MQiGTS Pro (biggest bike NIU makes, 10 cm longer wheelbase) (113kg)

================  ==========

Yadea G5 can fit a helmet and has its battery under the floor. Price is 30k SEK here in Sweden. Yadea also has a G5s with 4.1kw motor capable of doing 50mph. It has two batteries and the helmet storage place is gone on the S-model.

"Min CUx toppar ca 66 km/h enligt hastighetsmätaren, (glädjemätare, stämmer inte så bra om man jämför med en gps, ca 54 km/h).

Har du de nya runda stiften i kontakten till batteriet? Dessa verkar hålla bättre än den gamla varianten med rektangulära stift. De rektangulära blev lätt överhettade och smälte plasten i kontakten/batteriet." - anonym

Super Soco Cux, like the design. Pretty strong motor. Weight just about manageable (81 kg). Derestricted it goes about 60 km/h topspeed.

It has a telescopic fork and at the rear it is equipped with Dual shocks.

Super Soco Cux is easier to derestrict than Niu. (Used to be, on newer ECU it is not!)

For range it's probably the MQi+ but for power it's the CUx - Green-Mopeds

NIU

Super Soco Cux verkar trevlig. Används som electriskt hyrmoppe (Go sharing) i nederländerna.

Weight about 80 kg (including battery). The CUx has a narrow shape and a weight of 68 kg without battery. Some say it weight 81 kg with battery.

The Horwin EK1 is 92 kg without the battery.

Testvinnare 2020 i tidningen Elbilen! "Bästa köregenskaperna..." "Accelererar bäst..." "SNYGGAST!"

Battery Capacity:60V/30Ah

Batterivikt: ~11 kg

60Vx30Ah= 1800Wh
