"When future bike in Italy and another ebike company in Korea started selling a 48v 500w Tongsheng motor last year I contacted a guy I know at Tongsheng Bicycle. He confirmed that it is the exact same motor as the TSDZ2 but with different firmware. He said the firmware upgrade can only be done at the factory and that he could provide me with motors with that firmware - just need to order a boatload of them. He said he doesn't recommend it because it pushes the motor past its 350 watt design. The good news is they are working on a new 500 watt motor that was supposed to be out last year but it is late being released. He will let me know when it comes out."

"I tried an 39.6v 11s battery on my 36v motor to see if I could increase the rpm of the motor. It was absolutely useful in the sense that I could have assist at a higher cadence. The main issue I have with this motor is that with a 36v 10s battery rpm of the motor is too low to assist me when pedaling fast. It starts to lay off at around 75-80 rpm with the 36v battery. 39.6v lets me pedal all the way up to 90-ish rpm. A subtle, but noticable difference.
The higher voltage produced less motor-noise and a more natural assist. It's more than powerful enough for me even though I regularily haul up to 100 kg of extra stuff on my cargo bike."

About getting Bafang 850C color LCD working with TSDZ2

Bra pris 6999 kr, vissa säger sig vara nöjda med sina Biltema elcyklar. Det sitter en Bafang motor i bakhjulet, med planetväxel. Den här har 29 tums hjul om man gillar det.
Finns kvar i Jönköping, Malmö och Göteborg när detta skrivs.
Det är ett BRA kinesiskt märke som är billigare än Bosch, Yamaha och Shimano. Jag har en Bafangmotor på en av mina DIY elcyklar och är hittills väldigt nöjd med den. Jag gillar DIY stilen som är förknippat med märket. Det blir då naturligt att fortsätta med detta märke när jag nu sonderar terrängen för elcyklar med Bafangmotor (den med 80 nm moment).
Nedan är en samling av vad jag hittat, hoppas det kan vara till nytta för dig. Jag har fokuserat främst på Bafang M400 som har bra kvalitetsrykte.
Mkt bra! Kontrollern på Bafang sitter i en separat enhet och kan därför enkelt bytas om den skulle strula. Precis som på deras tidigare DIY enheter.
Elektroniken ingjuten i expoxy eller liknande, gör den vattentät. Pajar någon komponent får du byta hela kontrollenheten.
En del säger att det är dåligt med delar.. Men.. Ola, bla cykelreparatör (och ger kunnigt intryck hos undertecknad) säger följande:

Det är en cykel med centermotor som har en moment sensor som gör att systemet känner av vilken kraft du lägger på pedalerna. Känns mer som en cykel jämfört med om du bara har en sensor som känner av att du trampar och rör pedelerna framåt.

Crescent har som dom säger ett egenutvecklat system som heter Egoing.. Men allt tyder på att det är Bafang M400 som dom kanske förfinat eller liknande. Tycker Crescent är lite lömska här.

Also Bosch and Yamaha has their own fitting. So no E-mount standard unfortunatly!

I also just bought the swedish bike Crescent Elder with this drive. Unfortunately, CycleEurope, which built the bike, also removed the password instance from the menu. Hence, we can't enter the password and neither can we change the speedlimit, nor the wheel diameter. Does anyone know how to make a factory reset of the display firmware, so we can use the bike to its full potential?
Password is 0512.
There you can change speed limit and wheel diameter
My bike came with the manual describing this procedure so may be yours have it too. If not - press "i" twice - list the menu down to the PSWD setting by pressing "i", enter 0512 with +/- and you are in the 2nd level menu. Again, by listing it with "i" you can change the wheel size and speed limit by +/- buttons. Double "i" to save and return.
