Som många av oss känt länge. Bilen är ett allt mer krångligt alternativ jämte cykel. Det är dyrt bränsle, dyr skatt, dyra trängselavgifter, dyra reparationskostnader, besiktning, försäkring, parkeringsböter etc. Kort och gott en pina, speciellt om du bor i en storstad.
Som cyklist slipper man väldigt billigt undan. Så kan man skippa bilen är mycket vunnit, förutom tappad status möjligvis. Men du kan ju använda dina hårt förvärvade pengar på så mycket annat istället!
Ett alternativ om man vill köpa en färdig elcykel som verkar ganska robust är Ecoride Ambassador.
Den finns att välja dels med motorn bak eller motorn fram. Batteriet har låg placering med eget fäste i ramen.

Tror det är en traditionell 28-8 som är Ecorides mest populära cykel som ofta har trädetaljer. Motorn i framhjulet. Bromsarna består av hydraliska skivor. Shimano Nexus 8 växlat med fotbroms.

Kärran är en Burley Flatbed cykelvagn som kostar ca 3000 kr. Ramen är av aluminum och hjulen är 16 tum, så ganska små hjul. Verkar som att hjulen kan tas av precis som på vissa barnvagnar, "push button release". Smart blir då lättare att lagra. Verkar kunna ta vikt upp till 45 kg.

Den vridningsstyva ramen på E-Live känns otroligt bra att cykla på, och är inte alls ”vinglig” som på en del andra cyklar. Mycket av styvheten kommer från den strategiskt placerade lilla förstärkningen mellan underröret och sadelstolpen. Insteget är lågt, så det är väldigt enkelt att gå på och av cykeln.
Shimano STEPS-motorn håller en mycket hög kvalitet och är väldigt enkel att styra med den intuitiva kontrollenheten på styret. Motorn har ett vridmoment på 40 Nm, och håller länge för det allra mesta en cykel som denna utsätts för. Tack vare att motorn är placerad i vevpartiet har cykeln en bra balans, vilket ger en väldigt naturlig cykelkänsla. STEPS-motorn är dessutom känd för sin tysta gång, vilket är extra trevligt vid turer på rofyllda skogsvägar.
Cykeln levereras med all nödvändig utrustning som behövs på en cykel, som pakethållare, lampa, stöd, skärmar och ramlås. Pakethållaren kommer från den svenska kvalitetstillverkaren Atran Velo och har AVS-klicksystem för montering av extrautrustning (säljs separat).
Framlampan är den kända AXA Compact Line 20, som ger hög säkerhet och visar vägen i mörkret. Baklampan kommer från Blueline och ser till att du är synlig för passerande trafik. Skärmarna kommer från tyska SKS och håller mycket hög kvalitet.

As previously said, it uses Internal Gearing Hub, I think Shimano Nexus/Alfine, which holds up fine normally. And is also used for some Shimano Steps bikes.
The model looks a bit like Diamant Rubin Legere, but it has cassette and so on.. Hmm.

That's a good thing about hydralic lines, they dont need tensions like a cable wire do. You can just put them aside.

D. Ridsdill has built this nice Kona Cinder Cone conversion using the TSDZ2 with a torque sensor.
He uses a 48v 17.5 ah Samsung battery.

I also have a Bafang motor, a BBS02 but I much more prefer the ride of the Tongsheng motor, especially with the emmebrusa firmware. I hardly ever uses the Bafang motor any more.

"I am using Headway LiFePO4 38120 10ah cells in 12s packs. They make a bit bigger heavier pack as energy density is lower than lithium ion but a very stable chemistry. A generic 12s LiFePO4 BMS is performing OK" - Q. Maxwell
If you want 48 volt you have to go to 16S pack.
A. Wong installed a new 50t Solid-e-bike chainring. (Bottom one) It is design to reduce the chainline offset by another 5mm comparing to the factory unit.

"Two weeks ago my tsdz2 motor started making a grinding noise whenever i would put power down so after doing some research i came to the conclusion it was the sprag clutch bearing so i replaced it , I went out for a ride but now the grinding noise was getting worse. So today i took out out the blue gear and at first it looked ok but then the middle bearing just fell out of the center of the blue gear and on inspection noticed the splines on the inside had worn away. I replaced the entire blue gear and re greased it up and now it works like a dream. I am only posting this if anyone else might have the same problem." - J. Cooper

Some thoughts about the blue gear on Tongsheng TSDZ2:
"But from experience they are very resilient unless you forget to change down at lights or something silly like that. Iv had mine 3 years and is as good as new still. The sprag bearing is it's acillies heel in my opinion, on my 3rd. Seem to get about a year (4000 miles and they literally fall apart). Again very cheap to fix with basic tools.
I'm on 48v running my motor at 864w so is very very hard on the motor and it just copes no worries at all." - P. J. Clack

"Use lithium as it doesn't tend to dry out and has good melting point. Do not use any grease with ep2 in the title. It contains pressure additives and will make your one-way roller bearings in the blue cog slip and is virtually impossible to clean up once it gets in. "Only thing to watch for is that you aren't using grease with "ep" designation. This means it has pressure additives, which don't play well with oneway bearings such as what is used on the blue gear. The additives stop grease squishing out and the roller bearings can't engage. Found out the hard way myself after a rebuild. Even isopropyl alcohol couldn't shift it so had to buy a new gear again.
I have a big tub of Shimano grease and that's all I use now, ain't cheap but doesn't melt or go rock hard like cheap stuff." - P. J. Clack
